Explore your Kelowna Museums!
Volunteering with the Kelowna Museums is a wonderful way to be involved in the community and is a very rewarding experience. If you enjoy working with the public and want to learn more about how a museum works, then a volunteer or docent position with the Kelowna Museums may be for you.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the cultural and natural histories of the Okanagan and British Columbia and to be involved in the daily operations of the Kelowna Museums, an important and vital community cultural resource.
What is a docent?
Docents are specially trained volunteers who assist with museum tours and education programming. Kelowna Museums docents are required to participate in orientation and training sessions where they will receive all the training they require to lead dynamic tours and programs.
For more information on becoming a docent, please contact the Curator of Education at (250) 868-4876.
